Colour analysis is carried out to identify each subject’s friendly colours through the use of special coloured cloths.

Friendly colours are determined on the basis of the skin, eyes and hair of the analysed person, who during the session will be cleansed and placed near a natural light source.

Colour drapes are useful to understand the undertone (which can be warm or cold), the contrast, the intensity, the season and the resulting subgroup.

Seasons, as we all know, are spring, summer, autumn and winter, while the subgroups that categorise them the most are divided into soft, bright, light, warm, deep and cool. Each season is delineated by certain characteristics that an image consultant has the task of identifying on the analysed person, indeed those who are “winter” will always have a cool undertone or those who are “summer” will rarely have brown eyes.

Armocromia arrived in Italy thanks to Rossella Migliaccio and the Italian Image Institute with whom I also trained. Their method is based on investigation and observation and is applied to every session. 

The consultation lasts about an hour and twenty minutes and is carried out in a place with natural light in front of a mirror. After a few useful questions to better understand the starting situation, coloured drapes will be used to discover the relevant season. After finding it, the personalised colour palette will be handed over, containing the best colour combinations useful for choosing clothing, make-up and accessories.
